Biography

A lifelong resident of Royse City, Mayor Nichol has proudly dedicated decades of service to the community she calls home. She first served on the City Council from 1995 to 2005, and again from 2009 to 2015. In 2015, she was elected Mayor, a role she held until 2020, when she was asked to serve as Precinct Commissioner for Rockwall County.

After completing two years in that position, Mayor Nichol returned to city leadership, being appointed to the City Council in 2024 and elected as Mayor in 2025.

She continues to serve the community in numerous capacities, including on the Main Street Board, Parks Board, Rockwall County Road Consortium, and Rockwall County Historical Commission.

A true public servant at heart, Mayor Nichol is passionate about Royse City’s continued growth and success and is honored to serve the people of her hometown.
