Public Works
The employees of the Public Works Department maintain the City's water and wastewater lines. They also maintain all of the city streets, signs, water distribution systems, and storm drainage systems. The City of Royse City supplies water to approximately 4,018 residential homes and commercial businesses. The City of Royse City has two water pump station's, at the North Pump Station Number 1 there is a 1 million gallon ground storage tank, at the South Pump Station Number 2 there is a 2 million gallon ground storage tank, and there is one water tower at Verandah that has a 1 million gallon capacity. The City has backup generator power to ensure we provide water and wastewater services even for extended hours of power outages.
Our hours of operations are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. You may contact the utility billing department during these times at 972-636-2250 prompt Number 3, to set up a new water account, and for any water or wastewater request or leaks. Any after-hour emergency water line breaks or wastewater blockages, please call 214-794-2888.
