Fire Marshal’s Office

The Royse City Fire Marshal’s Office oversees all Community Risk Reduction activities. These efforts include Public Education, Fire Inspections, Fire / Arson Investigations, Commercial Plan Review, and participation in the Development Review Committee (DRC).

Each year, the Fire Marshal’s Office conducts fire inspections in existing businesses and for new construction projects throughout the city. One of the primary duties is permitting and inspecting fire detection and suppression systems in new commercial buildings. Violations are brought to the attention of the business owner or construction project manager. These inspections help ensure that properties are safely built and maintained and that new businesses are safe for employees and visitors.
